What's not afraid of a little snow

There are some plants that just get cozy when the Canadian winter drops its blanket of snow over the garden.

Alyssum blooms as beautifully as ever, rivaling the snow for brilliance.

This miniature red rose has been inconspicuous all summer, huddling close to the trailer behind more impressive plants, but now the warmth from the trailer melts the near by snow, and the little roses take center stage.

The snapdragons droop slightly, and may not continue opening new buds but they provide a welcome sprinkling of color here and there in my garden.

I enjoy winter.  I actually like shoveling snow and breathing in the pure crisp air.  And I especially love looking forward to another spring.
