Remember that dream of a piece of land in the country that I wrote about a few months back: We signed a deal today.
I love this pine walk, and am now dreaming of what I can do with it.
And the pond is exciting, too.
I love ponds. The last pond I had was a tiny one I built with liners and a pump.
This one is going to be a brand new challenge .
But the real value of this land lies beneath our feet:
Good sandy loam that has been left fallow for a couple of years, and before that, organically farmed.
I didn't know much about the land when we were first drawn to it. I didn't know it had a creek running through, or that it had good soil or that it had been farmed organically, or even that it had some fruit trees on it, but we believed God was directing us to this parcel of ground.
Now we are believing we will be given the strength we need to make it fruitful.

Our Dream
We're dreaming again. In technicolor!
I haven't lost my craving for a little piece of land with some chickens, a few milk sheep, and lots of room for a garden,
wilderness for the grandchildren to explore, and maybe a pond where they can watch the frogs.
An old apple tree or two would be nice,
and, of course, it would have to be on a paved road.
All this is just a dream, though the land exists.
Last year, having my husband well in body and mind was only a dream. Now it is a reality. This year, a homestead lifestyle in the country is only a dream. I wonder if the Lord will also turn this dream into a reality.
It will only happen if it is part of His plan for us, but if it is His plan, I can't wait to see how He does it.

Checking the new life
It's getting exciting! I still don't know what a lot of the trees are, but I know that most of them are fruit trees.
I know I have apple, plum, cherry, and probably pear.
I also have viburnum and high bush cranberry.
As you can see, I am still in awe over the land the Lord chose for us. We had no idea what we were getting. We just knew that it was the place for us.
